My story starts at 12:02am February 20th, 2004, the day I became a parent. My beautiful daughter was born and my world changed for the better. I was 19 young not married, but her father and I tried to give it a go. We struggled from day one with our relationship. When she was 3 months old I decided that he was to imature and not ready to be a father so I chose to move on. I told him I would not keep him from his daughter he could have and see her whenever he liked. He retaliated by getting a lawyer and seeking full custody. He claimed I was unstable not fit to be a mother and wanted me to pay him child support because I made more financially then him. The ironic thing is that I only made more money then him because I had to work two jobs just to support our daughter, as he was not supporting her in anyway. Needless to say I could not afford a lawyer so ended up settleing in court with 50/50 custody and a huge custody agreement wirtten up. This little deal was a joke. He never stood up to his end of the 50/50, as he never even had his own place to keep her. He only rented rooms from friends. He hardly took her, and never on a regular basis, did not pay for daycare or clothes ect... I allowed this to go on for almost 3 years.
